Founders
Funso Feyi Ogunla is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Destiny Behavioral Health Residential Care. As C.E.O, he oversees the significant revenue growth and geographic expansion of the company. Funso holds a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Arizona State University and a Master’s degree in Organization and Industrial Psychology from Grand Canyon University. He is a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha, National Criminal Justice Society. Funso has more than 12 years of experience in the Healthcare Field. He believes in treating all residents with compassion, dignity and raising their self-confidence in their journey towards rehabilitation.
Yemi Ogunla, BSHA
Yemi H. Ogunla holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Grand Canyon University. Yemi has over 15 years of experience in the behavioral healthcare field. As the Administrative Director at Destiny, Yemi strongly believes that people challenged with severe mental illness and substance abuse issues deserve nothing but the very best. Yemi utilizes the provision of excellent services and maintenance of strong support as the foundation for success for the residents at Destiny.

Teri Hourihan, LPC, NCC
Teri Hourihan serves as Destiny Behavioral Health Care’s Clinical Director, Primary Counselor, and onsite Clinical Supervisor to all clinical staff. Teri is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and is approved by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as a Clinical Supervisor. Teri is also a Ph.D. Candidate with an expected graduation date of August 2018. In addition, Teri is an adjunct professor at Regent University in the Masters of Counseling Program and serves as the President of the Arizona Counselor Education and Supervision division of the Arizona Counselors Association and past president of the Arizona Lesbian Gay Bisexual & Transgender Issues in Counseling division. Teri is an avid presenter in national and state conferences and is a published writer. Teri is an expert in the field of counseling specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT).
Teri brings in her Dogue De Bordeaux, Finley, to include him in the group counseling settings. Finley is growing with Destiny as an onsite therapeutic support animal. In the coming months he will be getting specialized training to be certified in AAT. Further, Teri is beginning to develop the clinical focus at Destiny to include more counseling professionals in the coming year. In Spring 2019, Destiny will be including Masters level interns onsite to provide more ongoing counseling to all residents. All clinical staff are supervised by Teri. Teri is very passionate about providing top-of-the-line behavioral healthcare. To her, working in this field is not a job but a life passion where she gets the opportunity to serve people daily.
Audre Medlock, MA, LAC
Audre Medlock serves as an onsite counselor to Destiny Behavioral Health Care. Audre is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and a Ph.D. student in Grand Canyon University’s Counselor Education and Supervision Program. Audre has more than ten years of experience in the health care field and two years in the behavioral health field serving people with mental illness, substance abuse, and co-occurring issues. She is experienced in CBT, MI, SFT, among others. Audre is highly motivated for providing top quality care to each and every person she meets. Her passion for helping others is noted not only in her care towards her clients but also towards her friends and family. In addition, Audre is skilled in yoga and integrates yoga into group counseling frequently. Currently, Audre is being supervised by Teri Hourihan towards independent licensure. Audre and Teri work very closely together to ensure all treatment at Destiny maintains high ethical standards of care.
Lynnette Jones Patterson, LCSW
Lynnette Jones Patterson serves as a clinical supervisor for Destiny Behavior Health. Her duties as Clinical Supervisor include providing ongoing training to behavioral health staff, review of treatment plans, review client files, and keep the agency informed of current changes in rules and regulations from the State of Arizona. Lynne is the current owner of JMT Treatment Services. She is also Adjunct faculty at both South Mountain Community College and Phoenix College. She received her B.S in Social Welfare from Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio and her MSW from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Michigan. She spent 30 years as a School Social Worker in the Phoenix Union High School District prior to opening her business in 2007..
Dietician and Healthcare
Alisha Chasey, RD
Alisha works as Destiny Behavioral Health Care’s dietician. Alisha earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nutrition from the University of Arizona and Arizona State University, and holds credentials as a registered dietitian, certified nutrition specialist, and associate raw foods chef. Her professional clinical experience with dialysis and a comprehensive cancer-care clinic, her food production experience as creator of Innocent Indulgence’s dessert line, along with her own persistent health issues (chronic fatigue, food allergies, indigestion, and cystic acne) taught her the real-life impact of nutrition and lifestyle on peoples’ short and long term health. On her own journey, she explored traditional, alternative, and complementary medicine, and also experimented with every kind of “free” diet, vegan, raw foods, juicing, cleansing, supplements and more. She soon discovered that true health and wholeness come from making choices on every level—physical, emotional, and spiritual. She’s passionate about sharing with others the wellness and healing nutrition and lifestyle secrets she’s learned in one-on-one and group sessions, so they can make healthy doable and delicious and experience radiant living, to live out their destinies, and to love their lives. Alisha now enjoys clear skin, lots of energy and eating balanced, clean, and food-allergy free. She loves being outdoors, dabbling with watercolors, snapping flower photos, sipping coffee (and tea), and spending time with family and friends.
Deborah Laverty, MSN, NP-C
Deborah is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in family medicine.
Formerly with Peoria Medical Center, Deborah is now with MD HomeCare.

Deborah completed her MSN at Grand Canyon University including extensive nurse practitioner rotations at Mayo Family Practice, Alliance Medical Clinic (internal medicine), Angel Pediatrics, and Mendy’s Place.
Deborah has been a director and consultant in the clinical research field. She guided institutions in best practices consistent with FDA and ICH guidelines including: Duke University Medical Center, Texas Heart Institute, and Maricopa Medical Center.
As a RN/BSN she has broad experience including: Thunderbird Samaritan Medical Center (emergency room), Maricopa Medical Center (ICU and critical care), Maricopa Department of Public Health (TB care and CDC research), Florence Crittenton (evaluation and care), CareMinders (advanced nursing care for spinal patients).
Angela Mitchell, RN
Angela Mitchell serves as Destiny Behavioral Health Care Residential Care’s onsite Registered Nurse. Angela is a very compassionate and enthusiastic nursing professional serving more than 28 years as a Registered Nurse. Angela has experience serving in diverse populations and completing assessments. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. She has worked in Pediatrics, Adult medical- surgical, Telemetry, ICU and Psychiatry.
